Batten Seam Roofing & Roofing

Architectural Panel Systems specialise in unique architectural cladding systems including batten seam roofing.

Batten seam roofing is a traditional metal roofing technique involving the use of timber or metal battens, concealed gutters and capping. The battens are covered with capping that lock over both sides of the internal adjacent gutters. The capping and panel widths provided can be a variety of shapes and sizes which make it a popular choice profile amongst architects and designers.

This traditional technique creates the impression of a strong, bold and dominant roof, commonly used for its ability to create a shadow effect and provide urban characteristics.

When used with other seamed profiles, you can achieve an abundance of colour, brightness and shadows to create a unique finish.

The batten seam roofing profile’s flexibility makes it an ideal choice for complex shapes or long straight runs. Batten seam roofing is used widely throughout Europe with 65% of roofs in Paris being batten seam roofs.

Architectural Panel Systems manufactures batten seam roofing in classical roofing metals such as copper and zinc as well as Colorbond, Corten, stainless steel and zincalume. We also produce standing seam roofing and APS rib cladding roofing. We are based in Geelong, and work throughout Victoria including Melbourne, Ballarat, Point Lonsdale, Barwon Heads and along the Surf Coast to Lorne.
